Angels & Demons

Heyya everybody, its been quite a while since i wrote something on my blog.
Anyway, before i update ya about my life stories, i would like to promote a movie which i watched it on the 17th May 2009.

"Angels & Demons", is a MUST watch movie.

Its a prequel to The "Da Vinci Code" year 2006 written by Dan Brown.
If you loved the Da Vinci Code, you are so in for a treat when you watch Angels & Demons. The set takes place at Rome, it revolves along the historical conflict between the Roman Catholic Church and the Illuminati. Aka: historical conflict between science and religion.

Want to know more about it, go and watch the movie or better yet go read the book.
I think i might want to get the book for myself.

All in all, i really enjoyed the movie, its has a much darker story to it compared to Da Vinci Code and way much more death involved in the movie. There was a great twist to the end as well. I would definitely recommend this movie to everybody.

I would rate this movie 5/5 Stars.

Transporter 3 !!!

Wednesday, 10th December

Me and my Jaan wend to Mines and watched Transporter 3.
The beginning of the movie was quite interesting and as the story picks up it was not bad. But once you know the whole plot of the "evil" plan, the whole story does not seem that intriguing as it seems. I must say, Jason Statham who plays as Frank Martin has the body to die for. Gosh mouth watering....hahaha

As for the girl, she was WAY too much freckles on her face.
I would rate the movie as 2.5/5 stars.

Hectic 1st Week Of The Semester.

30th November until 5th December 2008

This was one hectic week, a non stop outing spree after classes throughout the whole week. What a way to start the first week of the semester. hahaha.....

Started off on Sunday, 30th November.
Me and my Jaan went to Alamanda in d evening for dinner and watch a movie "Madagascar Escape 2 Africa". It was nice having Jaan all to myself after two weeks of not seeing him. As for the movie, well it was not as good as the first but I had a good laugh. Really love the part when MotoMoto came out of the water, MotoMoto courting Gloria in the lake, Melman rising from the pit of death and a few more scene in the movie. I would give 3/5 stars for this movie.

On Monday, 1st December,
Jaan and I though Alamanda would be showing Bolt at 11.40am. BUT it turn out it was not showing. We went there in the morning for no good reason so in the end we went to Kenny Rogers Roasters for lunch. The standard of the food has drop compare to when this restaurant was a big hit. I think that was when i was form one till form three I should think. After lunch we went to Uni for our first class of the day which started at 2pm and ended by 5pm. After classes, me, Jaan, Yang and Wei decided to go Sunway Pyramid to catch the 3D movie "Bolt". We actually had no luck once more and had to try our luck for the reservation ticket to be release and in addition my slipper strap decided to give way but lucky still can walk around with it. Thank god luck was on our side and we manage to get tickets to watch the movie.

I enjoyed the movie and this was d first time i watch a 3D movie. I found d glass irritating towards the end of the movie when it keep on slipping down my nose. Other then that the movie was great but a bit lengthy in my opinion. Love the part when the cat was trying to teach Bolt to be a dog. I would rate the movie 4/5 stars.

Tuesday, 2nd December
Second day of the new semester and a lecturer in particular was very boastful and enthusiastic in teaching the subject which he claims to be superb in which was Object Oriented Programming. He is good at his line of work and his explanation was extremely load and clear but to damn lengthy. He likes to repeat his points over and over again in different sentences throughout the whole lecture time. Good and bad in a way cause its rather hypnotizing and it manage to get Yang and Bebe to fall a sleep in class.hahaha....
We went to Jusco at Cheras Selatan to accompany Yang to be Christmas present for the cousin sis. After that we went around shopping for clothing's as well, did not see anything that i liked. Only Yang manage to buy a T-Shirt. Bebe was so bored till she sat at a bench and dozed off while waiting for us. Pity her. After walking around we went to Food and Tea for dinner. Similar concept like Kim Gary but not so good.

Wednesday, 3rd December
Since it was the 1st week, both my Lab class was canceled so my class only started from 2pm till 4pm. After class, we gals went grocery shopping at Tesco. Just the few major things we need for cooking. hehe....

Thursday, 4th December
Class ended at 4pm bu we had CLICQ meeting from 5pm till 7pm. Just some updates on the activitise and etcetera. Almost everybody manage to turn up and most of everybody wore their CLICQ T-Shirt. Woohoo......rasa bangga.
After meeting, we went to Alamanda once more to eat KFC. The people that went was me, Yang, Wei, Bebe, Ah Boy. After dinner we went back.

Friday, 5th December
After class ended at 12pm, me, Kw, Jing and Ah Boy went to MidValley. Took us quite some time to find a parking lot and i was starving. We were in a delima on where to have our lunch, thank god Ah Boy decided for us and we went to Carl's Jr. for lunch.

When we were walking to Carl's Jr. Wei got a call from Bebe and she was told that the main door had some problem. She and her mum was having a hard time locking the door but when they manage to, they could not open the door at all using the key. Then blablabla....finally got in touch with the locks smith thanks to the effort by the Landlady the man said he would come at 5pm.

The service at Carl's Jr. was quite good and quite fast. When the food came, the burger is not as big as i imagine but after eating the burger i had quite a hard time finishing up the fries. We all ordered the medium set. Only Jing order the burger with double meat in it and she totally had a hard time finishing the burger itself. haha... The burger i order had beef burger, chicken bacon and two huge fried onion rings in it. very nice combination. Wish they had added some lettuce in it with some mayonnaise. hehe.....

After lunch, we walked around but non of us found anything that we liked. Around 4pm we headed back to uni and lucky i took d initiative to give the Landlady a call and found out tht the locks smith will only be able to come at 8pm. What a bummer. So we detoured to Mines and walked around and in the end we ladies bought some make-up since there was some sales going on at Guardian.
After Mines, we headed back and me and Wei reach the apartment at 8pm on the dot and i called the man to notify him that we had reach and he came 15min later. It took him about 30min or maybe more just to break the lock and let us into the apartment.

Tips for the day: when you find it hard to close the door this means it is time to change the lock of suffer the consequences.

Road Trip to Muar

From 11th November till 12th November 2008.

Me and my Jaan went for a little getaway right after our final exam. It was his golden opportunity to visit the place he spent his time before moving to Seremban which was filled with great memories and GOOD food. In a way, i really wanted to visit my Jaan's hometown where he spend his days growing up and roaming about the streets of Muar. hehehe....

At 11.30am we were on the highway heading towards Muar. It was a pleasant ride down and it took us about 1hour and 30min to reach Tangkak. Before heading to Muar, we went to Gunung Ledang to get some fresh air and enjoy the fresh clear waters. It took about another 30min to actually reach Gunung Ledang which is situated at Sagil.

Upon approach, we had to pay an entrance fee of RM2.00 to park the car, RM1.00 for each person and to use the toilet/shower facility is RM0.30.
I think it easily took about 15min++ to reach this specific location which Jaan likes. It involves walking up a steep staircase and following the ready made pathway to reach our destination. was kind of tiring after SSOOO long since i actually exercise. hahaha......

Finally we reach the spot. It may not have the most beautiful scenery and its certainly not a very large area, but this is thee spot which Jaan loves. It is mainly because there is this particular spot where he can sit there nicely and the water from the running water can massages his back.
Ahhh... the water was super refreshing and cold, the sun was not to hot and the running water hitting on my back was just heavenly. After about 2 hours or more of relaxing, we decided to leave.

We headed towards Muar town which took about an hour. First stop was to get a nice cold refreshing cup of Air Pear, Jaan's favorite drink back then. It was really nice and naturally sweet with a strong pear taste and slightly fermented taste. I loved the drink very much. It cost about rm0.40 for a small cup and about rm0.70 for a big cup.

Its time for some shower and refreshment before touring around Muar, we were went to a rumah tumpangan which cost RM40 per nite. I forgot the name of the rumah tumpangan. It was not TOO bad, it had a queen size bed and a single bed, fully air con and has water heater. Just needed to air the room because it had a strong smell of cigarette.

Around 5.00pm, we went to Tanjung to see MONKEY....LOTS of them. Naughty little things. Climbing on cars and always begging for food. After that we went n have some tit bits which was fried Yong Tau Foo and Ice Kacang all for RM6.50. We continued our site seeing near the Tanjung for a bit then headed to the car and continue our search for where to eat for dinner.

After much deliberation, Jaan finally decided to try out Medan Ikan Bakar Sabak Awor. It use to be just those kind of stalls di tepi jalan at that same area, now its refurnish and now looks more like a food court.
We went to shall number TWO where we ordered: Ikan Kembung masak Tiga Rasa, Ikan Pari Bakar, Kangkung Belacan, Nasi Goreng Kampung, Nasi Goreng Ayam Berlada, Teh O Ice Limau and Sirap Bandung. All of this just for the price of RM40.00. How cheap is that man & the food was fabulous. The taste was really to my liking. hehehe......
After dinner we were to stuffed with food and feeling so lazy, we headed back to the rumah tumpangan and retired for the nite.

Next morning came and we got up around 9am and went out for our breakfast. We had two plate of Kuay Teow Goreng, 15 sticks of Otak-Otak and 2 cups of Mil0 all for RM12 i think. Not bad, but i prefer the Kuay Teow goreng sold near my house in Cheras. Finally something i found that taste better in KL. haha....

After that we headed back to the rumah tumpangan to rest, freshen up and pack out stuff. by 11.30am we left the place and went to Restaurant Merlin with is situated in Taman Orkid. They serve absolutely delicious seafood and is cheap once more. Even Singaporean celebrity go to this restaurant for lunch. We ordered Sambal Prawn & Sotong with Petai, Asam fish, Otak-Otak, Fried Bayam, plain rice, watermelon juice and carrot juice with watermelon cubes. All this for RM47.00 only. hehehhe.....

After lunch we decided to stick around and went and catch a movie at a private cinema. We watched Max Payne.
The movie was interesting at the beginning, but by the middle of the movie you can guess who actually did all the killings and who gave the orders. According to Jaan, the storyline was different from the game but not bad and they did the slow motion part that normally happens in the game as well. haha....

After the movie, it was time to head back home to KL. So we pick up a big bottle and a small bottle of Air Pear for my parents to try. Then we bough some Yau Char Kuai which was SUPER soft and very nice texture. WAY much better then the once found in KL. hehe...

We got everything we needed and off we go back to KL. It took us over an hour because of the heavy rain while driving on the highway. hehe.....
All in all, it was a very tummy filling and relaxing holiday with my Jaan. Glad that we made the trip down to Muar. Thank you Jaan. Hugs......

Updates on Semester One of Year Two at UNITEN

7th July until 8th Nov 2008

In general I would say its been a hectic semester. Needed to balance out between my studies, dating, CLICQ & friendship. Finally this semester i feel its bit more productive in a way. Lets recap about my life throughout the whole Semester, just for the fun of it....hehehhe.

****************************************************************************
Among the activities that were conducted throughout the whole semester were:

Studies:

Well for this semester, Itook Five subjects which were:

1. Data Comm and Computer

---> A Networking subject which is SOOO not what i want to venture in the future.... just not my thing you know... but THANK god had a good lecturer to teach us.......

2. Database Systems

---> This is the MOST relaxing subject for this semester.... kind of like this subject cause does not require memorizing LOTS and LOTS of texts....its more of an application class.....so once you understand how to do it and its rules and regulation.... its quite easy to do PROVITED you don't make any mistake which I always make.....just minor mistakes here and there.....haiz

3. Operating Systems

---> This subject require both memorizing and calculation..... learn a lot about how the computer memory "brain" works and chooses which process to go next..... kind of interesting i suppose but a lot to memorize...

4. Data Structure and Algorithm

---> The lecturer was good at explaining the concept....but i find it bit hard to actually apply the concept and found myself most of the time just copy and paste the codes and edit from there during lab class.... AND about the lab tutor....well his good at explaining to himself but not good enough to actually teach a whole class....sorry to say.....

5. Fundamentals of Software Engineering

---> This subject was purely a memorizing subject plus a little bit of application base of cases....

To me, this class was rather interesting as the lecturer was VERY cultured in his field of work and studies in Software Engineering....the only bad thing about this subject is that the lecturer's lecture notes are not complete and he expects you to attend his every class and jot down EVERY extra notes he will explain in class... and SADLY a question worth about 15marks just went out the window... is either i did not attend his class when he explain about that topic or he forgot to mention it in class.... well only god knows i suppose......sobsob...

The dating department:
Well in brief.....everything is going fine....we have our ups and down and mostly caused by misunderstanding and overreacting......nothing major i suppose.....
We manage to pass our One Year mark of being together and bond between us is still growing strong..... WOOHOO....hehehhe
I have to admit......cut down quite a lot on going out on dates mainly because busy with club activities, friends and of course our old time favorite STUDIES & ASSIGNMENTS...... hahaha
Oh ya..... 1 more thing is because i move out of campus so kind of tied down on the carpool things i have with my 2 other course mate and we cook a lot at the apartment..... partly my fault cause once reach the apartment already kind of lazy to go out again to meet up with my Jaan.... sorry dear......

CLICQ:

1. UNITEN Club and Society Bazaar
---> Manage to beat our last semester record of the amount of new members we manage to pull to join our club

2. Officially launch CLICQ and conducted the AGM
---> There and then we had a little voting session JUST before the AGM and pick out new juniors to join in the committee and also announcing the new board members of CLICQ

3. Runaway IT
---> not as many people actually turned up but we still manage to rock the event some how...

4. IT Holic
---> FINALLY made some money out of this event for the club fund & on top of that we had great respond...... shall be doing IT Holic 2 next semester.....good luck WeiWei

5. CLICQ Room
---> We finally got our own personal club room all thanks to Yang and Mesh making the effort of making the proposal and talking things out with the Dean of COIT..... CLICQ is the only club which has its own personal room in the COIT building....how cool is that...WOOHOO

6. RoadTrip to CD Factory
---> Did not manage to attend the road trip but herd from Vivek and Sya that it was fun and informative trip....which was great news for me cause i gave that idea.....hehehe

Hermmm....did i left out any other event????????..........

Friendship:

and her name is Well a new member has been added into the group of friends i normally mix with at UNITENJingJing.... well generally she is a nice sweet cheerful gal to hang around with.... that's why she blend in with us easily i guess.... BUT i would personally call her Bebe's new found friend....hehehe.....
Maybe because i always nag Bebe or maybe she just want a breath of fresh air with the new gal....i don't really mind it and don't really care.....its good for her in a way to make more friends rather then just sticking to me and WeiWei......nothing has change much other then the fact Bebe sticks more to the new gal during classes at uni......
As for Yang and Jacob.....well i finally pissed Jacob off by being nosy and not minding my own business about Bebe.... serve me right i guess....its just a matter of time this would happen.... me and my big mouth.....it got to me hard and VERY clear...oh well, lesson learned and SHALL mind my own business when it comes to Bebe or anything to do with the group just in case......unless they ask for my opinion......other then that i shall SHUT UP.....hehehhee
Friendship within the group is still intact i guess and i hope......the only big issue that happen was that part of me pissing Jacob off...but hey......things are cool and back to normal.....

What about my good old friends?
I mainly keep contact with my good old friend Rowena via MSN......hehehe
Still the wild gal i know since those days.... not only did she increase the number of tattoo's on her body....she is now dating a foreigner........hehehe.....
Once in a while i still do some updating with Anushia and Mei Chern......
manage to meet up Mei Chern and Ai Wen this semester...........nice chatting and gossiping with those two gals.....heheheh
My SKTM primary school mate actually invited me for his open house to celebrate Hari Raya... could not make it cause it was way to near my final exam....haiz... Hope i can attend next year...

*****************************************************************************
It was an interesting semester filled with excitement along with some sad moments.... but i manage to make it through and it turned out for the best....... learned quite a lot about myself and about the people around me.......
As much as i hate changing myself to suite others but i don't see other options available........ a small price to pay which is for the greater good for me..... hahahhaa..... im talking as if tomorrow would end or as if im totally a bad ass gal.....hahahahha

Anyway, at least i still have my Jaan and Rowena to complain and bitch as much as i want on how I truly feel at times which were hellish.......
Thanks a lot Jaan for being there for me and always knocking some sense into me...
Thanks Rowena for lending me our ears.....
HUGS!!!!!!

Death At A Funeral, 2007 movie

Death At A Funeral movie is made in year 2007.
Its one of the best British movie i have seen for this year 2008. Its really funny and the jokes are easy to catch.

The whole plot takes place at a house where the youngest son, Daniel will be conducting a funeral ceremony for his late father. As the movie progress on, the story gets thicker and thicker as there are a few other story plots that are happening all at the same time during the funeral procession. The funeral, the black mail, moving out, discoloration of the wrist, going after Martha, Simon's hallucination, hurried Reverent, grumpy old uncle Alfie, and hiding a dead body. The main thing that CONNECTS them all is a BOTTLE of so called "Valium".

There is a dialog that was said by Daniel about his father which i absolutely like. Its nice and simple yet meaning eulogy:

Daniel: My father was an exceptional man!

Daniel: He may not have been a perfect man, but he was a good man, and he loved us. All I wanted to do today was to give him a dignified send-off. Is that really so much to ask? So, maybe, maybe he had some things he liked to do. Life isn't simple, it's complicated. We're all just thrown in here together, in a world full of chaos and confusion, a world full of questions and no answers, death always lingering around the corner, and we do our best. We can't only do our best, and my dad did his best. He always tried to tell me that you have to go for what you want in life because you never know how long you're going to be here. And whether you succeed or you fail, the most important thing is to have tried. And apparently no one will guide you in the right direction, in the end you have to learn for yourself. You have to grow up yourself. So when you all leave here today, I would like you to remember my father for who he really was: a decent, loving man. If only we could be as giving and generous and as understanding as my father was. Then the world would be a far better place.

Actors involved
:
Matthew Macfadyen (Daniel), Keeley Hawes (Jane), Andy Nyman (Howard), Ewen Bremner (Justin), Daisy Donovan (Martha), Alan Tudyk (Simon), Jane Asher (Sandra), Kris Marshall (Troy), Rupert Graves(Robert), Peter Vaughan (Uncle Alfie), Thomas Wheatley (the Reverend), Peter Egan (Victor) and Peter Dinklage (Peter).
